Guide to Design and Development Trends for Adaptive Marketers

While responsive websites is the entire trend in today’s digital ecommerce world, it is not always a good idea to suggest a business to redesign its website. Google does suggest a number of  benefits for a responsive website, but it is you who is going to decide whether you just want a responsive website or a great website that helps its visitors have an awesome user experience.

Here are some for the guidelines best followed for adaptive marketers for design and development trends.

  • Do not follow the herd: Just because every other website is making their sites responsive just a whole lot of navigation and sub navigation buttons, you do not need to do that. Users just hate this. What you need to concentrate on instead is to keep the design simple and with less navigation. Keep the buttons to the point without hiding too many sub navigation buttons. With businesses having mobile sites, keep them clutter free with as many less buttons as possible so that you emphasise on only what is needed. A simplistic design should feature the products and its corresponding information without extra information on the page. Show one thing if you only do one thing. Align your website with navigation items and landing page content. Show the users how to browse and click on the features and services without clicking too much.  A simple click should guide the visitor to where he wants to go with browse-able items being kept at a manageable level.
  • Build mobile site only if you are ready: Many businesses are going the mobile way and that is good. Just remember that your business has to be mobile ready to go that way. According to recent reports, responsive sites are much slower to load and if you are on mobile, the speed is going to come down. Keep the mobile site simple, less cluttered and experience rich for the user’s intent at the time.  Mobile site visitors generally do not spend hours comparing things. They are there to speed up things, make a purchase or get some quick details. Making a mobile site needs a dedicated team that can build and manage it effectively. You will need SEO Experts to create good tags so that the users are delivered to their intended content faster.
  • Use indexable apps: Google has some decent guidelines on how to use index and rank apps. Make use of it. For a small mobile game developer, for example, a responsive site might not be a great idea. Instead, it might be a great idea to use links for content and support deep linking without he app Content within apps can prove to be more engaging for consumers who have already installed the app.
No doubt, responsive websites are a great choice. However, if your site looks awesome with shrinking and expanding photographs but does not take the user to the required content with ease, all is a fail. With respect to design and development of a website, responsiveness is a great option but not the only option. What matters is a more concrete advice for adaptive marketers who are able to build websites that immediately deliver to the customer needs.
